Karen Brooks Hi Julie! I’m so glad you enjoyed the book. Thank you! As for whether or not I will continue the story, I have no plans at present but did leave it open just in case. As a few readers have pointed out, it would be nice to follow Rosamund and Matthew into the New World and see where the chocolate adventures take them. I never say never. :) Warmest wishes, Karen

Just reading the Author's Notes is fascinating. I loved the Brewer's Tale so I searched the stacks at our library and found The Chocolate Maker's Wife. I'm so excited to start reading this story, especially since I love everything about chocolate, especially eating it. It's absolutely amazing the amount of research you do: do you ever start a project and come to a dead end? Or, just don't get inspired? Thank you

Hi Karen, I became a forever fan after reading The Brewer's Tale. My next read was The Locksmith's Daughter (so many twists and turns) and I just finished The Good Wife of Bath (for certes, amazing.) Next on the list will be The Darkest Shore (love anything set in Scotland) then The Chocolate Maker's Wife. My question to you is there any one author that has been an inspiration to you?
