I think that the souvenir from Hannah was the fact that she discouraged affectionate and love between Jo and her mother.

Yea the books just rolling right along then next thing I know the ending credits are playing. Didn't like the ending seemed to me like the story just dropped to end the book quickly.

I loved the ending! Jo had an inclination to flinch away from her mother's affection due to Hannah's intention to drive a wedge between them. It's a hard habit to break, hopefully that was the only "souvenir" left with Jo, but I imagine there will be a lot more to overcome in her relationship with her mom.
