Hi there! Sorry for the long delay in responding :-)
So, yes, Conor and Sophie are the "perfect" pairing but my goal in keeping them apart was based on the fact that her main weakness/flaw is that she "needs to be needed" and only being with Gavin can fulfill that. They rely on each other in ways that aren't exactly healthy, but which really fulfills something they both need deep inside.
I know you're not alone in wanting Conor and Sophie to be together, though!

I absolutely heart the Rogue series and how real the characters are. Is there another book in the works? I would love, love, love another book on Sophie and Gavin. I really want to know what would happen if Gavin was actually confronted with the full extent of Sophie and Connor's relationship over the first decade of their marriage/relationship.
