Rachel Renée Russell Hi there Maria, thanks for your wonderful question! My family inspired me to write Dork Diaries and Max Crumbly. I wrote Dork Diaries because both of my daughters were bullied growing up. And Max Crumbly is based off of my comic-obsessed nephew. I’ll continue writing both series as long as fans like YOU continue to read them!
