Goodreads asked Aleson Alexander:

How do you get inspired to write?

Aleson Alexander I've always had stories flowing in my head for as long as I can remember. At a particularly bad point in my life, I started writing them down. I never thought about them as a professional option. I lived my life and it ended up where it ended up, and, well, I'm not happy with that. BUT... a couple of people read my writing and told me that they loved it. So, there was that in the back of my mind. I put it out for a few more people to see. Some really liked it. Most were okay about it. So, I still didn't look at it as something professional. Then one day, I had a REALLY bad day at work, and I thought...screw this. I don't know if I can make it professionally, but I'm damn sure going to try. Here I am. :)
