Goodreads asked Mary Alice Monroe:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Mary Alice Monroe Confession! Because my novels traditionally are released in May or June, I travel most of the summer season for book tour. It's a thrilling but exhausting time, so I don't get much reading done.

Now, that the calendar has flipped to autumn, I'm in one place busily writing again. And back to reading. One book I had the honor of reading ahead of its Oct. 29th release date is TELL ME A STORY, by Cassandra King Conroy. It's a memoir about her marriage with the beloved writer Pat Conroy. Here's the quote I gave her book:

“Tell Me A Story is breathtakingly tender, heartbreakingly true...The best memoir I’ve read.”

I loved it and I highly recommend it! As for my TBR list, here it is:
THE WORLD THAT WE KNEW by Alice Hoffman
THE TESTAMENTS by Margaret Atwood
OLIVE AGAIN by Elizabeth Strout
THE WINEMAKER'S WIFE by Kristen Harmel
THE RIBBONS OF SCARLET by Kate Quinn (and others)
THE CONFESSION CLUB by Elizabeth Berg
