I read your book how to disappear and absolutely loved it! Why did you write it? How long did it take you?

Hi Reece. I can't say that I had a specific reason for writing HOW TO DISAPPEAR. My stories just sort of develop and evolve from a kernel of an idea and that was the case with this book... it started with thinking about living vicariously through others (perhaps being jealous of someone else's more fabulous life), and collided with thoughts about social anxiety and soon the ideas all came together to form this story. It took me about 4 months (under deadline pressure from my editor) to draft a very rough first draft, and then another year or so to revise and edit.
