A lot of people are saying that Rowan is too old, or that Aelin/Calaena has too many love interests, or that Rowan already found and lost his mate, but here's the thing...

On the account that he's too old: SO WHAT SO IS EVERY VAMPIRE IN THEIR STORIES AND NO ONE CARES THERE. Also, he doesn't look old, and the stuff that she has gone through makes her wiser than anyone her age aka making her able to be with him and be at his level.

On the account that she has many love interests: SO WHAT?! IT'S LIFE! Do you know how many guys I've had crushes on? Or thought was attractive? And I've loved 2 men in my life! And it's gonna keep going on. My mom has truly loved three men in her life and it's just part of life.

On the account that Rowan found his mate: Just because he has already found his mate doesn't mean he can't find love again. My very own mother lost my dad, the love of her life, to cancer and she has found love again. It is possible and not a sin. You're allowed to find happiness in love....

BTW to all who disagree... I was a die hard Chaol and Calaena fan from day one. I never cared about Darian... sorry lol. I was always about Chaol and even at the end of Crown of Midnight I still wanted them together. Throughout Heir of Fire too until I got to know Rowan and saw how he and Calaena together and I fell in love with what they had. I was so mad when they didn't end up together at the end of the book but I suspect it might come.. Whole point is... You're allowed to change who you ship lol.
