Stuart Reid As I write children's book, being incredibly silly unlocks the blocks. Once I sat with my two daughters (then aged 3 and 8) wearing a sock puppet and the girls asked me questions about my new book and where I was stuck. Sock puppet came up with some brilliant answers and in my head door after door was unlocked, as the cul-de-sac opened up right up to the end of the story.
Sock puppet was going mad, I was getting excited and my daughters thought this was hilarious!
