I'm currently conducting two tracks of research for upcoming articles and a revised and expanded textbook on immigration law. The first is immigration law from an international perspective and the second is on regulations affecting the proprietary, for-profit education industry.
I've also just completed work on my first novel and am currently in the process of querying literary agents for representation. The novel is a work of fiction drawn loosely from my own personal and professional experiences as a young attorney in my first posting as dean of a for-profit school of business knowing next to nothing about the industry. It was my first and last exposure to the industry in which I learned lessons no less valuable, painful or life altering than the fictional protagonist.
I've also written some new short stories and a lot of poetry during the forced isolation imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic that I will eventually publish.
