Goodreads asked Julia Buckley:

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Julia Buckley I would go to St. Petersburg, Russia in 1866; I would walk across the bridges over the labyrinth of canals until I came to the apartment building where Praskovya Pavlovna is the landlady. I would make my way to the hot and stuffy attic and visit Dostoevsky's Rodion Raskolnikov BEFORE he commits murder. I would assure him that he is a good person but that his theory is flawed, and that he should talk things over with his friend, Razumikhin. I would bring him money and encourage him to use his brilliant mind to think of a way to make that money last, and to secure his future in a positive way so that he can help the many people who suffer in the streets.
