Non-ruining, kind of spoiler question: I read this in a marathon, and sometimes while I was a little sleepy, so not sure if I missed this: did anything particular happen to Freida after she did what she did? We know King likes to give a character comeuppance, but it feels like she kind of just disappeared?

There is one point where Avery realizes that she betrayed him, but other than that, she drops out of the plot.
