Honestly, my initial answer is pretty cliche - Harry Potter! I mean, the more knowledge you acquire, the more magic you can use! But, to give a more interesting answer - His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. I want a spirit animal to hang out on my shoulder or to sneak around with!
