Azriel asked Brad Taylor:

Hi Brad, I recently finished Ghosts of War, (which as someone potentially deployable, I found appropriately terrifying). Considering your (likely accurate) murderous portrayal of Vladmir Putin, I was curious. Do writers (not just yourself) feel worried about blowback or relation when portraying real life sitting politicians, especially despotic ones, especially when using their real names?

Brad Taylor I can't answer for others, but I don't really worry about it too much. The odds of someone in Russia reading that book are slim, and the odds that someone would take retribution are slimmer still - but having said that, after the Russia kills of old Soviet spies in the UK, I'm certainly not ever stepping into Russia.
