Anonymous Arizonan
Anonymous Arizonan asked Stuart Gibbs:

Do you think up a setting (e.g., the Bonotto Ranch) and then come up with a mystery for it or does it all pop out of your head like Athena in a complete story?

Stuart Gibbs Stories never just pop out of anyone's head. It can take months, or maybe even years, to work a story out. Sometimes there is a setting that I like for a story, but usually it's the other way around: story idea first, then finding a setting to match it.
