Do you think [book:Pride and Prejudice|1885] and [book:Little Women|1934] might be like The Beatles and Elvis, in that an individual instinctively leads towards either one or the other? Is it an opposite sides of "the pond" thing?

While Pride and Prejudice is much more of a romance, a love story, Little Women is a story about family. Also, Jane Austen uses more satire than Alcott. There are definitely very comedic moments in Little Women though!(less)
