Which translation would you recommend? I'm looking at Donougher, Rose, and Denny.
Rae This may be old; but will still share my opinions for future readers. I only have two copies, one of Donougher and Hapgood.

Out of all the translations…more

Out of all the translations, I suggest Donougher's translations. It is easier to read as it is a bit more modern, though not in the same vein as Rose's versions (doesn't use modern slang), stay's faithful to the original and has a lot of notes on the language, history, etc...to help explain things.

As for Hapgood, it is a bit outdate as it is a much older translation and all that; but there are some nice leather-bound and flexi bound.
Nice has glided edged pages and a ribbon bookmark, which handy, though the the version is Barnes & Noble Collectors edition, so a bit more pricy, doesn't have any notes nor stated it is Hapgood's version though it is and the print is a bit small to try to cut down on the number of pages. Also didn't have the illustrations. A bit disappointed for the price, I recommend other versions that are cheaper. (less)
