he's one of the artists she talks about who were suspected of having bipolar disorder, though of course we can hardly know since it's not like the concept of bipolar existed in the 15th century. she generally talks a lot about the link between mania and creativity and I think his name in the title is just an example that stands for the idea of the "crazy artist"
