Hi! I have a bit of a random question. How does it feel when a small detail you wrote without much intention unexpectedly blows up in the fandom, while something you hoped would have a significant impact gets overlooked? And what’s it like knowing that even the tiniest Easter egg you include still gets noticed by readers?

Rick Riordan I don't really pay that much attention to fandom reactions, honestly. I am sure these scenarios happen, but I usually don't think about it. Once the book is out in the world, it's kind of nice that it belongs to readers, not me anymore, and they can interpret it how they like.

Hi! When you were writing the extremely upsetting deaths, such as the one in ToA, were you crying? That death especially was very upsetting for me, but it seems like it would be more upsetting for the author. Also, how do you write such tears- inducing death scenes. Every time I reread them I feel so sad. P.S Thank you for all you have written. Most of the time, your books bring so much joy.
