Hello, I loved your book Ask Again, Yes. I was wondering how you chose Floral Park, NY as the setting? It has been my home town for over fifty years!

Mary Beth Keane I don't really know Floral Park in real life, but I have friends from that area of Long Island and I needed a town that felt similar to Gillam (a fictional Pearl River) in a few important ways. And it would have to fall into the NYPD residency requirement. So I landed on Floral Park! Fifty years means you must love it there. Thanks for reading.
