Ian Wilson
The villains were inspired partly by world mythology. The gods and goddesses of Northern European myths were often cruel and vindictive, and I wanted to put that on full display. I also drew inspiration from an alarming modern trend I see, which is a growing disrespect for life, and the public's seeming willingness to give themselves over to a totalitarian leader.
