Music is the main story, but yes religion is there but I am agnostic and you just accept others believe things you may not and go with it. Best bood of this year and I just finished it minutes ago.

I’m more of an agnostic but further to the atheist side than god believing. Despite the references to religion and the voice of music emulating God I didn’t find this book to be about region at all... more about how lives are lived and the impact we all have on each other.
