I read your answer in regards to an African American heroine and would like throw an Asian American heroine into the running as well (maybe as Darius's HEA? :D) I get what you're saying about writing what you know and totally respect that, but as a reader, I'd like to read about someone who resembles me physically every now and then and would loove you even more (impossible) if you gave us a heroine to identify with.
