There are two Thrawn Trilogies now :) The old one is not canon anymore, it's part of the Legends. The new one (Thrawn, Alliances, Treason) is indeed canon. Probably will extend beyond a trilogy with new books coming.

If I’m correct, the only Thrawn novels that are “currently canon” are the last three that make up newest trilogy. I still love reading them all... canon or not.
Brian Manville
The Del Ray Star Wars timeline in the front of Treason shows the newer trilogy taking place between the movie Solo and A New Hope.

Hey, Patrick. I found your comment really interesting, and after finishing Treason, it sounds quite feasible. I couldn't find any Zahn quote saying so... do you have a source? I would love to read more about that idea. Thanks!
Patrick
Zahn intentionally wrote the new trilogy so it can operate "in canon" with both Disney and the original Thrawn trilogy and duology. At least that was the case with the previous two in this series (I haven't read this one yet).
Stephen Richter
Disney has moved Thrawn to a different time. if you have not watched the excellent Star Wars Rebels animated TV series do so as they re-introduced Thrawn a generation early then the originals. A cool move to get Zahn to write the new backstory.
Sam Shantz
If by 'Thrawn Trilogy' you mean Heir to Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command, then no, that trilogy is no longer canon.
