Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Rowan Massey When it comes to the series Such a Colorful Feeling, I've always had an academic sort of interest in drugs from a young age. In adulthood, I've struggled with prescription drugs. In one year I went off benzos cold turkey in the spring and opioids cold turkey in the fall. I totally lost my mind as a result and wanted to write about it.
The spark to the worldbuilding was actually from a vivid nightmare I had in my teens. This was supposed to be a short story about that nightmare. I don't think I'm capable of writing short stories!
