What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Therone Shellman First off I would say to Be You. Don't try to be different. But Be You. Really decide on what genre(s) you desire to write. Take time to learn publishing, and how a book is put together. Read as many books on self-publishing and publishing as possible. It doesn't matter whether you seek to self-publish, or sign to a publisher. At the end of the day the book is going to have your name on it, and therefore will be your responsibility as to whether it succeeds or not.
