Despite the hints at how wrong we all are here believing it was Reagan who brought USSR to its knees by speeding up the arms race, which the Russians just could not afford anymore. He does not deal with 89 in my country much, which is OK - he had to choose from the plethora of topics. If the German line had been Czech though, Hans would have ended up one of the most ardent revolutionaries :-)(less)
