Hi Jo! I read that you're a fan of Charlotte M. Yonge. I haven't read anything by her, but you made me very interested in her books. Which book would you recommend me to start with?
Jo Walton
Her best known book and the one I started with is The Daisy Chain. She's got two kinds of books, historical novels aimed at kids, which I don't much care for, and contemporary (for her!) novels aimed at adults, which I really anjoy her. You've got to be OK with Victorian novels and with the morality she's writing into. The Heir of Redfern made Jo March cry and it made me cry with anger and frustration. Good luck!

Jo Walton:
How do you keep track of the books you want to read (beyond Goodreads)? Do you prefer physical or e- copies? Do you stock up on potential reads, put them in any order, wait to buy till you're ready to start them? Put them back on the shelf if you can't get into them or abandon them after one try? If you've already written about any this before, I'd love to know, please.

I picked up "What Makes This Book So Great", which I loved. I've been checking some of the authors and books you mentioned as a result. I also starting reading through your catalogue, starting with "Among Others". I just finished "My Real Children" "The Just City" and "The Philosopher Kings". I'm really enjoying your stories, and had a quick question: have you totally wrapped up the Just City stories?
