Okay so I have read all of K Slaughter's stand alone books, but have not read this series. Do I need to read them all before this book? If so, I better get started before this one comes out!

Start with the first book of the Will Trent series, Triptych. Slaughter's characters are complex, especially Will Trent, and an understanding of his backstory will make you appreciate all the better what he has accomplished, why he and Faith are so close, and why his boss bullies him so.

You can enjoy this book without reading what came before, but you can enjoy it so much more with the knowledge you get from the series as a whole.(less)
