Goodreads asked Lola Wright:

How do you get inspired to write?

Lola Wright I have no idea! I just know that I am always wanting to be at the computer typing whenever something pops into my head. When I spend time riding my horses or working in the yard, my mind is always having conversations with itself about characters, story lines, funny things I've seen or heard from friends. I have trouble shutting down the voices sometimes.

I would say some inspiration comes from things I don't like and wish the world would fix. Abuse, in all forms, kids going hungry, voices of those in need not being heard, etc. For a few hours, I can fix those problems in my books for my readers. Give them a laugh or a smile, an escape from life for a short time.
