Ellie Marney Hi Sophie - wow, thanks for asking this one! In Australia, 'sprog' is used as a kind of rough term for a child, and as Dominic had a pretty rough upbringing (and not-great self esteem), I figured he'd adopt a nickname like this for himself. It also has slightly skater-bro connotations, so...that's how he got stuck with it. Hope that clears things up!
