Niffer
Niffer asked M.C. Beaton:

You have a great way of creating characters who should, by all accounts, be completely unlikeable, but end up being (almost) loveable! Do you draw characteristics from people you meet, or note down things people say to you that sound like something Agatha/The Tribble sisters would say? Or does it all come from your very own brain?

M.C. Beaton It all comes from my weakness of anti heroes or heroines like Becky Sharp in Vanity Fair and from all the thousands of books I have read. The brain is like a computer, you can’t put out what you don’t put in.
