I loved your book - seems like not everyone got the humor. The characters were so well drawn I felt like I knew them (particularly Bea)... Having recently been through two executorships of trusts (my brother and my mom), and the resulting drama, I wonder if you've ever been through this kind of thing. I haven't been through the scenario in my book, although I have many friends who have and some of their experiences inspired me. While on book tour, I had many, many people come up to me and talk about their experiences with executorships and also just the arguments after a parent dies. It's a traumatic time! I'm glad you related to the book (but not glad for your dramas!) and thanks for your kind words.

Hi Cynthia! I loved your book. I found it very entertaining and I couldn't wait to see how it ended. I have 2 questions. How long did it take you to write the Nest from beginning to end? Also, I'd like to know how you deal with negative critiques and criticism in general, including random comments online. It seems like no one in the creative fields has immunity from criticism. It can be painful for anyone.
