Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kristin Lambert My original inspiration came from reading about actual 1920s/30s drag queen Karyl Norman. Like my character Marion, Karyl chose a gender neutral stage name. He traveled with his mom, who was super supportive and made all of his elaborate costumes.
