So far I'm enjoying Lost Roses but I do have a question. From page 44 thru 52, why are there 3 seasons mixed in the same trip? You start with Sept then note spring grass, cut hay which is summer then early fall/late summer (the grapes), then back to spring with Apple trees blooming. Just curious.

Good catches, Karen. I live in Connecticut so I should have done better with my plants! One thing in my defense, I live on a hay farm and we mow the hay well into September. :)

I am almost finished with Lilac Girls and I am depressed. I do NOT want this book to be over. I have enjoyed reading it so much. I have such an interest in the Holocaust and WW2 and it is so obvious how much research you put into writing this book. I am just thrilled that you are writing a prequel and I will definitely be buying it asap! What time period will the prequel start?

I loved the Lilac Girls it was amazing! Can't wait for another. I saw that you visited the house in Connecticut and you came home with a lilac cutting? I would love to get one...do they sell them? I would love to see the gardens. I am a Master Gardener here in MD and I have so many peonies I will always remember this book when they bloom this spring. Again! I really 💜 This book.

No matter what else I have read hasn't compared to how much I relate to each of the women's stories you write about.
