Kellie Danny Torrance has a vision of the word REDRUM appearing on a wall, where it then transforms into the word MURDER, directly below the word REDRUM. He is aware of this as he saw this in a vision prior to arriving at the Overlook Hotel. His first vision is of the hotel, where "a single word appeared in green fire ... REDRUM".

Tony also shows Danny the word “REDRUM” “flashing off and on” in the bathroom mirror and the word murder is not seen in a mirror. Murder is seen in the reflection of “a huge clock in a glass bowl materialized in front of [the bathroom mirror]”.
