Lisa Kizer
Lisa Kizer asked Robyn Ryle:

This is more a thank you for this book. I was given this book for free from I do not remember and have put it in my middle school library. I can tell you honestly that this book has been checked out so many times that it has consistently makes my top 10 check out list since we put it the library in January. Thank you! Are you writing anything else that I or my students need to be aware of?

Robyn Ryle Thanks so much, Lisa! That's so great to hear that it's being read. Yes, I have another book coming out next year in July. It's called THROW LIKE A GIRL, CHEER LIKE A BOY: THE EVOLUTION OF GENDER, IDENTITY, AND RACE IN SPORTS. It looks at issues like gender segregation in sports, the history of gender testing in the Olympics, the rights of transgender athletes to compete, and how the history of race and sports are connected. So it's a great entry for kids into thinking about issues of equality and social justice. Hope you'll check it out. Thanks again for sharing my book!
