I just finished the First Law trilogy. Can I skip book 4 (Best Served Cold) and 5 (The Heroes) and start with this, because Logan's story is the only one I really care to read more about?

I was wondering how good would a book be without some of my favourite characters like Glokta, Logen or Threetrees as well, but if you don't read Best Served Cold for example, you'd miss out on an amazing expansion on Nicomo Cosca's character, or the awesome, albeit a bit too powerful Shenkt :D).(less)
