Gail asked Michael Part:

Which high school did you attend in Sheboygan, Michael? Was your writing stimulated by any teachers in the district, or did your creativity explode after school, when alone in a room, writing, instead of doing homework? During 1966, after the series aired, I couldn't wait to get home and stay up late writing my own Star Trek stories. Thank you!

Michael Part Gail, I can't remember the name of the school, it was on Eerie avenue I think. I moved from Sheboygan when I was 4 and went back every year as that is where my relatives were. Most have now passed. My writing was definitely inspired by the city. I loved going back and being there and when we moved from Sheboygan to California, I already knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. A fireman. Kidding. I wanted to be a writer. Which confused my folks immensely. Great that you wrote Star Trek stories! I tried to do that too. Never sold any to them (too talky for me, I guess) but made good friends with Rick Berman, who produced the later shows. I can't remember ever not wanting to be a writer and I think of Sheboygan all the time and put it in my movies and tv shows whenever I can.
