For me, the best thing about being a writer is that I can let my imagination 'run riot' when I'm writing.
I've always been one for dreaming up stories, which has often gotten me into trouble, but taking to writing a few years ago 'like a duck takes to water' has given me that way of working on a great story while not appearing to be a total 'nutcase'.
I only write part-time at the moment, as I haven't 'given up the day job' but writing gives me that release into another world where my characters can shape their world.
