Henry Bohler
Henry Bohler asked Genevieve Cogman:

Hello! I just read the Masked City and was curious about something; If the Fae and Dragons do go to war, in the later books, what's the point? So far, the Dragons don't seem to care too much if they destroy Alternates to get back against the Fae, but what happens when only High Chaos and High Order worlds remain? Would the war end? They can't fight in those Alternates, can they?

Genevieve Cogman You are quite correct that the dragons and the Fae would have problems attacking each others' "home bases", as - the way things stand at the moment - they wouldn't be able to reach them. (Or at least, that's the general understanding.) However, this has never yet stopped the more warlike on each side arguing that they would _find_ a way, that something would be invented, that in any case what they'd achieved would be worth it, that it would be better for the poor humans in the middle if _their_ side was firmly in charge . . .

Sadly, when it comes to starting wars, dragons and Fae can be just as, er, opinionated as humans.
