A Goodreads user asked Sharon Kay Penman:

Will you ever do a follow up to Sunne in Splendour? I have read many accounts of Henry VII (who I hate, as a staunch Yorkist) but as my favorite historical author, I'd be most interested to read an account written by you of what followed Bosworth.

Sharon Kay Penman Dear SonofYork,
That is an interesting question and you are the first one ever to ask me. But no, I've never considered writing about the Tudors and the aftermath of Bosworth. Not unless I did one of those alternate histories in which Richard won at Bosworth, as we so wish he did! I think I'd find it very unpleasant to write at length about Henry VII's victory. I did once think about writing a novel about Elizabeth (whom I like to call "the only good Tudor," partly tongue-in-cheek). But so much has been written about her that I feared I'd have nothing new to contribute. Elizabeth was lucky, for she was the star of two excellent historical novels. Margaret George's Elizabeth I covers her twilight years; I thought Margaret should have called it The Lioness in Winter. :-) And Susan Kay's Legacy covers the entirety of Elizabeth's eventful life.
