Why did each time traveller, including Hugh Stanton, decide to go back to the hospital cellar in Turkey to leave their letter explaining how the 20th century of their future world had turned out? Surely, they'd be better off leaving a letter with Newton's package at Cambridge, so the Chronos people in 2025 can read about the alternative 20th century and decide what to do BEFORE sending anyone. Am I missing something?
