This book seems related to her earlier books Something Borrowed etc but I cannot work out where it sits in the timeline, and are all her books concerned withe the same people.?

And, there are mentions of her brother's wife an…moreI think she messed up the timeline a little bit. In Heart of the Matter, Tessa has her 36th birthday. And, there are mentions of her brother's wife and two kids.

In Something Borrowed, Dex is 34 and there is reference to his older sister, Tessa. So, if he's 34 then Tessa is at least 35, which means the novels would occur at the same time.

But, that doesn't work because in Something Borrowed, Dex is 34 AND single without children... (less)
