asked:
Who was drugging her? I thought it was Samual but then he took her out of the house and took her off the drugs. Where was Portria during this time? I thought she should have helped her and realized she was being drugged. Could someone shed some light on this for me?

I am pretty sure Lydia was the one behind the opium tablets. I think Samuel may have already started feeling guilty about the Lydia's plan and 'rescued' her, though I am unsure why Portia didn't hear her dropping the lamp and vase and getting hurt. Why had no one checked on her? Also, there were doctors called in, but no one investigated her bathroom's medicine cabinet or other items to see if there were any drugs. That seems odd.
