You have such a unique voice, it speaks to me cellularly. Were you influenced by any of J. California Cooper's works? Your writing has the feeling of home, culturally. I read four of your books to date. Thank you for bringing Black love respectfully and honestly.

Thank you for reading my work! I'm not sure if any one author influenced me more than Alice Walker. The Color Purple opened my eyes to a new way of story-telling but tons of authors have influenced me in one way or another.
