I just finished House At The Edge of Night-and I absolutely adored it. I read it for a Cultural Challenge in one of the GR Groups and there is a debate whether the island in the book is fictional or real. Hoping you can clear this up! Also, what are you currently working on? Your writing was exquisite, and I am hoping for more.

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed the book! I'm sorry to say the island of Castellamare is not real, but it's based on real places, mostly in Sicily, that I know and love.

I read this wonderful book and have suggested to my book club. I would be so honored to have this book for my personal library. You, in my opinion , have written such a beautiful story of three generations of family on an island in the Mediterranean Sea. My parents came from an island in the Med, and as I read this it simply brought me back to when my parents spoke of this wonderful magical place where they lived ?
