Did you always know you were going to write a book where KC was the main character? The way she was portrayed in Bully seemed to have her going in one direction and now the way Falling Away seems to be going, she seems so much different, obviously she's older, but was it always part of the plan for her and Jax to be together?

That's a very good question. Thank you for asking!
Jax wasn't even in the original version of BULLY. I added him during edits and immediately knew that he would have his own book someday. And yes, strange as it may sound, KC was his from the start.
Truth. I very much underestimated how people would dislike KC. I remembered high school, lots of catty things going on, and her behavior didn't seem all-together strange to me. I thought if people forgave Jared for the years of abuse on Tate, then KC would be no problem. I was wrong! LOL
KC is the weakest out of the group, and I think that's what made her such an experience to write. She had the most growth to make. Her evolution, which happens early in Falling Away, was truly beautiful, and I think a lot of women will relate to her. Most of us aren't Tate. We don't always make the right choices or have such strong convictions. Tate was my spirit animal. She's who I wished I was in high school. In reality, I was weak, like KC., and I learned, through experience, how to stand tall.
She and Jax complement each other very well. He teaches her how to let go, and she teaches him how to hold on.
Hope I answered your question!
