Lik…moreIt seems to me that as her success has built, she has become bolder and more ambitious in developing several plot lines and weaving them together. Like a complex weaving with many colors and patterns, this may be overwhelming for some readers, who prefer things to be a bit simpler. She is not Hemingway, but she doesn't need to be. When I saw the growing length of her books, I was uncertain whether I would stick with the series, but with each one, my appreciation of her ability to weave all these threads together grows. I find it interesting that you us the words "titillate for filthy lucre." That would never have occurred to me, but we each see things from our own perspective. I personally do not find this book - or any of the rest of them so far - titillating. But maybe that is just me. I am an old woman.
