Lori asked Paul Tremblay:

I really enjoyed The Cabin at the end of the World! Did you use any personal feelings as background for the characters Eric and Andrew?

Paul Tremblay Thank you, Lori!

Oh I definitely use myself and other people I know to make characters. That's usually the jumping off point for them, then they become someone else through their choices and whatnot.

Without getting spoilery, in terms of the metaphysical argument they engage in, I'm probably 95% andrew, 5% eric. But that 5 percent can be persnickety. ;)
